Newtown Literary Alliance, a non-profit organization benefiting the literary scene in Queens, NY, is having its third annual Queens Writes Weekend to raise funds for our programs. We publish a semi-annual literary journal, hold a student writing contest, and organize community readings.
The Queens Writes Weekend will be a weekend-long event held at various locations around the borough where participants come to write for a few hours. That’s it! We want Queens to write! Our goal is to have sites all over the borough at all times during the weekend. We will advertise the sites on our website so that participants can find a location and time that works best for them.
Support Newtown Literary by purchasing Queens Writes Weekend 2015 t-shirts, tote bags, water bottles, mugs, hats, and stickers at CafePress.com.
All events have a $5 suggested donation and copies of the journal will be available for purchase.
